Nail, hair and lash salon marketing on RedNote (Xiaohongshu): what to post and who can run it

Updated 2026-10-21 · Dianhong · Caliradi LLC, Mountain View

A nail, hair or lash salon should post on RedNote (Xiaohongshu) the finished look with its real price, who on your team does that style, and how to book, one searchable note every day. Dianhong (by Caliradi) plans, writes and publishes those notes for $197 one-time first-month setup, then $99 a month; ad management is not included, and any ad budget stays with you. Here is what clients search for, what to post, a 30-day plan, what to shoot between appointments, and what to avoid.

How Chinese-speaking clients search for a salon

Salon searches are look-first: people search for a style in their city, scroll the results, then pick the salon behind the note they liked. Typical searches, shown in English (your notes use the Chinese wording):

So every title names the style, the city and the price, and every note shows the result clearly.

Post types that fill a salon's calendar

  1. Before and after with the price for that exact service and how long it took.
  2. Style of the week: one nail set, color or cut, with price and appointment length.
  3. Meet the team: which technician or stylist does which looks, languages, working days.
  4. The price list explained: what a gel manicure includes versus extensions, add-ons, removal fees.
  5. Occasion looks: wedding, graduation, Lunar New Year red sets, holiday glitter, with "book by" dates.
  6. Care between visits: keeping gel color neat, brushing lash extensions, when to come back.
  7. Booking made easy: walk-ins or appointments, open slots this week, parking, how to cancel.
  8. Your space: stations, how tools are cleaned between clients, the colors you stock.

A sample 30-day posting rhythm

Daily posting starts in month two. A typical salon month:

DaysThemeExample notes
1–7Who you areSignature services with prices; team intro; how to book; storefront and parking
8–14PortfolioOne finished look a day, with price and time taken
15–21Season and occasionsHoliday sets, wedding and graduation looks, back-to-school cuts
22–30Questions and carePrice questions from comments, care between visits, new colors, the month's favorite sets

What you shoot between appointments

Hands and hair tell the story; faces only when the client says yes.

FAQ

I already post on Instagram. Can I reuse the same photos on RedNote?
Reuse the photos, not the post. A RedNote note needs a Chinese title with the style, city and price, plus how to book. Dianhong writes that note from your photos; your Instagram stays as it is.
Most of my clients book by phone. Does RedNote still matter?
Yes. Many Chinese-speaking clients look on RedNote before they call. Your profile and every note show how to book, by phone or your booking page.
Can you promise more bookings?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. Dianhong commits to one note every day, same-day replies to routine comments and a weekly report. Turning interest into appointments is your team's part.
What does it cost to have Dianhong run RedNote for my salon?
$197 one time for first-month setup, then $99 a month for a note every day, month to month with no annual contract. Ad management is not included.
